We moved in two phases. First, we stood up a coming soon page carrying the organization’s vital information—mission, contact details, and donation access—so SEM Link, Inc. stayed reachable and credible while the full site was built.
For the rebuild, we developed the site on WordPress using Elementor, structured around the nonprofit’s three core asks: volunteer, donate, and partner. We used Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to power the board of directors section, so the team can add, remove, or update leadership profiles through structured fields rather than rebuilding pages each time the board changes. Because board bios vary widely in length, we built a custom Elementor reveal widget that lets each bio expand and collapse—keeping the directory clean and scannable while still giving every board member room for a full biography. We also embedded PRLog to automatically surface the organization’s press releases on the news page, connected MightyCause for donations, and linked existing Google Forms for volunteer and partnership intake so the team could keep using workflows they already had in place. An Elementor contact form handles general inquiries, and the homepage features animated impact counters that bring the organization’s 20-year track record to life.
