Project Goals

The Keybo Building Bridges Foundation is a STEM-focused mentorship program working to change the trajectory of at-risk youth by cultivating authentic relationships and creating sustainable, philanthropic solutions for underserved neighborhoods. The Foundation already maintained a website that kept its community informed, but the design had grown dated and no longer reflected the organization’s brand or the full scope of its work. They came to ShaCa Gurus for an upgraded site that would continue to educate visitors while doing more — highlighting individual programs, inviting community members to serve through a board application, and making it simple to register for events. Just as important, they wanted a more engaging experience and a giving process their donors could fully trust.

Our Solution

We delivered a complete redesign on Wix, preserving the Foundation’s existing logo while drastically updating the typography and color palette to bring the entire site into alignment with that mark. The new architecture gives each program room to breathe, adds a dedicated board member application built on Wix Forms that routes submissions straight to the admin team, and streamlines event sign-ups through Wix Events. To strengthen donor confidence, we migrated giving from Wix Donations to Zeffy, so supporters now receive proper tax receipts after every contribution. We also wove in video and richer media throughout the site to keep visitors engaged and tell the Foundation’s story more vividly.

Results

Since the redesigned site launched in mid-May, engagement has climbed sharply. Comparing the period the new site has been live against the same calendar window a year earlier, page views grew more than sixfold, while sessions and unique visitors each more than tripled. Visitors are also going deeper into the site — pages per session rose from 1.3 to 2.3 — and the bounce rate fell from 85% to 57%, a clear sign the new experience is holding attention rather than losing it at the front door. That momentum extends offline as well: 13 organizations have already signed on as sponsors or vendors for the Foundation’s upcoming event later this month.
